5 Bad Conditions During First Trimester Pregnancy

Hormonal changes that occur significantly in the first trimester of pregnancy may give bad effects to your body. This inconvenience is not only felt on the physical, but also affect your emotional state.

The first trimester runs from the first week until week 13 of pregnancy. Although from the outside of your body might not look like a pregnant woman, but the actual conditions inside your body is changing. This change from within can cause side effects unpleasant and interfere with the quality of your life.

1. Breast pain: The pain may be accompanied by swelling of the breasts. The condition occurs because the current channel breasts are preparing for breastfeeding. To reduce discomfort, you can wear a bra with a larger size than usual or a bra that can sustain your breasts like a bra for sports.

2. Nausea: Nausea usually can begin to occur most rapidly three weeks after pregnancy. This condition occurs due to the increase of estrogen and progesterone causes digestion in the stomach to slow down. You may feel nauseous at any time, but the conditions are most severe in the morning so called morning sickness.
In the first trimester, the sense of smell can also be more sensitive. It might trigger nausea when the smell certain scents. To overcome this, you are advised to avoid foods that have a strong aroma. Choose foods that are low in fat and easy to digest. It is advisable to consume food in small portions but frequently. Normal nausea are not harmful. However, if this condition is severe and makes frequent vomiting, as this may affect the nutrients you consume to the fetus. When this happens, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

3. Stress: While having a baby is what you want, but it turns out the pregnancy can make the stress and mess up your mood. This can happen due to hormonal changes, fatigue, and negative thoughts about the world of parenting pregnancy or after the baby is born.

4. Dizziness: Dizziness in pregnancy is perceived as wanting fainting or lightheadedness. This inconvenience occurs because during pregnancy because blood vessels can dilate and blood pressure also decreased. This situation also may occur as a result of blood sugar drops, because at this point you're adapting to a changing body metabolism related to pregnancy. Avoid standing for too long, stand up slowly after sitting or lying down and use loose clothing so that your blood circulation smoothly. 5. Easily exhausted: The surge in the hormone progesterone in early pregnancy could trigger drowsiness that you can not opponents. At that time, your body is working hard to address the growing fetus. This can make you more tired than usual.
