Constipation is not disease, just a symptom of a disease. However, this should not be allowed to prolonged because it can cause serious problems. But do not worry, we can do constipation home remedies as first aid and probably is one of the fastest ways you can do. These home remedies mostly use natural ingredients that believed safe for us.

Many factors can cause constipation. Less fiber diet, drink, exercise, as well as dependence on laxatives, stroke, and problems in the large intestine, can all be causes. Some types of drugs can also be a factor contributing to the constipation. Including drugs known as narcotics, antacids that contain aluminum and calcium, hypertension medications, antidepressants, iron supplements, antiparkinson, and so on.

Factors that cause constipation are:

  • Unbalanced diet, lack of fiber foods (vegetables, fruits, beans, mashed rice, gelatin, etc.)
  • Lack of fluids that cause soft stool not, even hardened like a stone
  • Delaying defecation habits, this causes the desire defecate long into the lost
  • Less active and demanding job of sitting too long. This causes the colon less work.

Home remedies for constipation

1. Pineapple
Pineapple rind peeled then washed and shredded. Squeeze the water and then drink 2 times a day.

2. Tomatoes
Consume tomatoes at night and in the morning, you can consume in the form of juice, consume directly and so on.

3. Soursop
Take 1 medium-sized soursop then deseeded and skinned, mix soursop with a glass of water, stir until smooth then strain take the water, add the three tablespoons of condensed milk and then drink two times a day.

4. Carrots
Prepare two carrots, then peel and wash thoroughly. Then shredded and add 3 cups of water. Squeeze and strain, taken twice a day.

5. Raw papaya juice
The juice is very good for the lymphatic system and after eating a heavy meal full of gluten.

Constipation prevention tips

  • To prevent constipation there are several steps that must be done. This preventive step is a step in the most safe and easy to do.
  • Avoid foods that contain high fat and sugar.
  • Drink water at least 1.5 to 2 liters of water (about 8 glasses) a day and other fluids every day.
  • Exercise, such as walking (jogging) can be done. A minimum of 10-15 minutes of moderate exercise, and a minimum of 2 hours for a more strenuous exercise.
  • Make a habit of defecating on a regular basis and do not like to hold back bowel movements.
  • Consume  foods that contain sufficient fiber, such as fruits and vegetables.
  • Rest or enough sleep
